Donna Rogers is the Organist/Accompanist of First UMC, Orange. She has served in this capacity for over fifteen years. Donna is a native of Houston and earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Baylor University and a Master of Music degree from Lamar University. Donna also teaches music at St. Mary School here in Orange.
Both Donna and Doug are well known performers who have performed through the years locally and also on many of the great stages of the world giving featured performances, between the two of them, in 48 states, the District of Columbia, and 14 foreign countries. As a young man, Doug was a soloist on NBC’s nationally televised “Bob Hope Special” of April, 1970. Doug and Donna met at Baylor University where they studied voice with the late, great Tina Piazza of the Baylor University School of Music. They married in 1977 and raised two sons, Daric and James, who now have families of their own.
