From Our Interim Pastor

Thank you for the very warm welcome that you have given me. I appreciate the kind words, hand shakes and hugs. Even a microphone that wouldn’t work and the air conditioning in the sanctuary that refused to cool didn’t hamper the kind reception that you offered me! I look forward to our working together these next three months as we seek to be about the Lord’s business. My thanks also goes to our church staff. They have been so helpful! We are truly blessed to have such dedicated people working together. May I ask a favor of you? Please remember to tell me your name when we talk as I am still in the learning mode, putting names and faces together.

The Lord’s work begins with our coming together in worship. but it certainly does not end there. As I indicated last Sunday in our closing hymn, The Lord calls us to let our light shine in the world each day that others may see our good works and be drawn to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Each day we have opportunities to share God’s love with others. It may be at home, at work, at school, at the grocery store or the mall. To confess that Jesus Christ is Lord means that we understand that He is Lord of everything. From how we relate to others to how we spend our money depends on our faith in God. I invite you to join me these next months as together we seek a deeper faith that is expressed in faithful living.

Yours in Christ,

W. C. Hall, Jr.
