Baptisms

"Through the Sacrament of Baptism we are initiated into Christ's holy church, are incorporated into God's mighty acts of salvation and given new birth through water and the Spirit. All this is God's gift, offered to us without price." (The United Methodist Hymnal, 1989)

We practice both infant and adult baptism. We baptize infants because "Our Lord has expressly given little children a place among the people of God, which holy privilege must not be denied them. Remember the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, how he said, 'Let the children come to me, do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God.'" (Matthew 19:14)

2009

Katelynn Nevaeh Grimm (pictured above) was baptized during the 8:55 a.m. service December 13th.

We were also blessed to welcome her parents Scott & Lisa Grimm as new members of FUMC.

Ryan Daniel Martin was baptized during the 11 a.m. service on November 29th.

We were also blessed to welcome his parents Dan & Kimberly (holding Ryan) Martin as new members of FUMC.

Dan, Kimberly, and Ryan were joined with big sister Abagail in picture to the left.

Additional family members included grandparents Dan & Kathy Barclay and great-grandparents Bill & Mildred Barclay in picture to the right.

Charlotte Eloise Saucier was baptized on Sunday, September 20, 2009 during the 8:15 a.m. Worship Service.

Charlotte is the daughter of Michael & Jennifer Saucier and the granddaughter of Don & Debra Bayliss.

Josie Riedel was baptized on Sunday, May 24, 2009 during the 8:15 a.m. Worship Service. Josie is pictured with parents Chris and Micca Riedel, big sister Lily, and Rev. Tom Stephenson. Josie is the granddaughter of Walter and Susie Riedel.

Colt Easton and Kinsey Layne Dryden (picture not available) were baptized on Sunday, March 22, 2009.

Chloe Elizabeth Abshire born on May 22nd, attended her first Celebration Service in our new Praise Center on June 22nd, and was baptized during our combined worship service on June 29th. Parents are Chris and Angela Abshire.

Tyler Grace Rion was baptized on March 30^th at the 11:00am service. Parents are Ashley & Joe Rion and great-great aunt is Rushia Mae Cooper. Tyler was born on October 27, 2007. (picture not available)

Dara Kay Grooms was baptized at the 11:00AM Service on March 16, 2008.
