United Methodist Women (UMW)

The organized unit of United Methodist Women is a community of women whose Purpose is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ: to develop creative, supportive, fellowship; and to develop concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Today, approximately 61 of our ladies are a part of the United Methodist Women 

UMW Sponsored Events

Every year we have events that is sponsored by the UMW.  The monies raised from  these events go toward assisting our local missions.  Such events are :
  – The Women’s Dinner
  – Mother/Daughter/ Friend Dinner
  – Men’s Appreciation Dinner
  – October Fall Festival

Because of these fund raisers in 2009 the UMW Board of 2010 was able to distribute $4,500 toward local missions.  UMW maintains its own audited budget.

Circles

UMW (United Methodist Women) consists of three circles:
    Faith Circle - This circle meets the  2nd Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Praise Center.
    Joy Circle - This  circle meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m.in a home of one of the circle members.
    Love Circle - Meets  the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. upstairs in the Praise Center.

These circles are open to all Women of the Church.  For any lady who is interested  in joining one the circles call Betty Merchant at 886-3591 or Wendy Stevenson at 883-3727.
